Southern Night

Being from Louisiana, Chris and I always miss the food. There is no other food or taste like home, no matter where you are from? Am I right? If you have moved a lot or even once, you know, no matter how much you say you want to get away from "home" or the state you are from and know as home, you know you always end up missing it at some point or another. Really, that is because its home. Sometimes you love home, and sometimes you don't, but at the end of the day there is just something so comforting about home.

We are just lucky info to have a home state that has amazing food. One of the signature foods of Louisiana are crawfish, and crawfish boils and they are amazing. Well since we don't have crawfish but we do have crab boil, the good stuff too!

We decided to use shrimp, and of course all the other things that typically go into a boil: sausages, corn, potatoes, and garlic cloves. The only thing missing were mushrooms and lemons, but we put lemon juice in the boil for the flavor.  Amazing. So simple, delicious, and a quick dinner. Just a little taste of home, y'all.
