Protein shake

Usually after I run I just eat a banana, I was doing the quest bars, but I
have stopped eating them recently. I don't know why, I think just because
I hadn't gotten around to buying a bunch in a good while. I have been
having an extreme low rate of iron in my body,
so much so that the doctor is making me take iron pills. It is so
low that when I tried giving blood back a few months, it didn't even register that any iron was
in my body... Well I have been taking the iron pills, but they hurt my stomach
a lot, so if I am running that day, I will not take any before my run, because it just
completely throws my body off, resulting in a shitty run.
Well I went to the store after running to pick up more water
(the faucet water in base housing is absolutely disgusting, to the point where you can smell all
the chemicals in the water)
While picking up water I spotted this odwella protein shake. I had just finished
running the most I have ever ran 10 miles, and this looked really refreshing.
What really caught my eye though was the 25 grams of protein and 20% iron.
I figured this would be perfect for me to drink after that run, so I went ahead and bought it.

This does contain a lot of dairy in soy in it though.
And the main thing that I don't like that is in it is all of the sodium.
250 mg of sodium for a juice or protein shake is quite a lot,
however, I was ok with it today for the amount of protein and iron in it.
As well as, I did run 10 miles today. The calorie intake is a bit high on this,
it is 300, but like I said, I did run a lot.

Now, onto the taste, it needed to be shaken of course, but it was
actually quite tasty. If you have ever tried the special k protein shake
in strawberry, it tasted, literally, just like that.
It wasn't too sweet, but sweet enough, very creamy, and super filling. I had eaten
an apple before my run at 11 am, I finished my run by 1:30 drank this right after,
and here it is 5 pm and i'm not hungry, though I am going to eat something
soon, to keep my metabolism going, as well as so I don't eat too late in the evening.

This is a protein shake I would drink maybe once a week or so, after
a really amazing workout. I wouldn't drink this if I didn't work out,
as well as with the sodium so high, and being that I work out 3-4 times a week,
I wouldn't drink this after every workout, just the really good high intense ones.
Also because of the amount of soy in this, and because of when I went vegan then vegetarian,
too much soy really hurt and upset my stomach, I wouldn't want to be drinking it
after each workout. Of course that is just my personal
opinion, knowing how my body reacts to soy.
