Washington D.C.

I had mentioned before, a while back that we were heading to Washington D.C. because Chris was getting eye corrective surgery. Well we made the trip down, to have them dilate his eyes with these crazy eye drops, only to find out that he has been wearing the wrong eye glasses prescription. Long story short, they couldn't operate because it would be dangerous, and his eyes would probably get messed up quickly down the line if they put the wrong prescription to his eyes. This doctor really knew what he was talking about. So Chris has to get the right prescription and adjust to it, problem is, he has a lot going on, so he has to get the surgery when he gets back from his next deployment, which he leaves for in February.

We did decide to stay and see D.C. since we were already there, why not right? Most of the photos from our trip are on his phone, but here are a few from my phone, that I thought I would share with yall. We actually did a lot in two days, and it was a lot of fun. I went before my freshman year of high school, but honestly looking back, I didn't appreciate it, and i didn't know what half of the things were I was looking at or understand how truly astonishing everything was. I was so happy to go back and share this amazing trip with the greatest person in my life, even if it was sort of unplanned, and what we planned on happening there didn't happen.

We also saw this crazy friendly squirrel that literally came up
so close to us in the park. He was crazy sociable,
and I wanted to pet him and he was close enough
that we could have, but I was scared he was going to bite.
