California Pizza Kitchen

Pizza is seriously something amazing. There are so many different kinds of pizza's and variations. You know, every kind of pizza has a certain taste, for instance California Pizza Kitchen has a completely different taste from pizza hut. Then pizza hut also has a completely different taste from papa john's. When Chris and I get pizza is it usually just a pepperoni pizza, or a cheese or 5 cheese pizza with pepperoni, or a margarita pizza. Those pizza's are ones we know we love and they are a fail safe. We may try a specialty pizza here or there, but we always get our fail safe pizza.

Today we both decided to go out of our comfort zones and get something that we typically wouldn't order. We both ordered something unique, without ordering that fail safe, pepperoni or cheese. Before I get into the pizzas though, let's start with the appetizer.

We ordered the spring rolls, and got one of each kind. The first one (from left to right) is the Thai spring roll. The Thai spring roll contains peanut sauce, bean sprouts, scallions, carrots, cilantro and mozzarella, and is served with peanut sauce. The second spring roll is the baja chicken. The baja chicken spring roll contains monterey Jack and Cheddar, corn, black beans, poblanos, red onions and cilantro, and is served with housemade guac. The last spring roll is the Mediterranean veggie. The Mediterranean veggie contains wild mushrooms, eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, mozzarella and parmesan, and is served with marinara.

My favorites are actually in that order as well. :)

For pizza's Chris did the original bbq chicken pizza and added bacon to it. I did the wild mushroom and added sun dried tomatoes to it. When the pizza's first came out, I thought there were too many green onions on it. Chris thought there were too many onions on his as well, but when we gave them a taste, we both realized they were perfect.

I love how their dough is light and thin, and as you work towards the end it has that nice crisp, and how the crust is nice and airy.

In these pictures, you will see that it doesn't have the sun dried tomatoes or the bacon we both added to our pizza's, that is because all of these pictures were found via google image search, I didn't get any actual pictures of our pizza's because they were that delicious and we really could not wiat to eat them! We had spent the entire day at six flags, and chose to end the day with California Pizza Kitchen, and we hadn't eaten anything the entire day.
