I am not sure why, but I always associate hot coffee and hot teas with sophistication, maybe it's because of the years I spent at starbucks watching young teenagers with their frapachinos and iced drinks, I feel like with a hot beverage you can taste the actual beans or tea leaves more. Now, I have always loved sweet tea and I think that is from the Louisiana in me.
But I am here to tell you....
Yes Coffee AND Tea.
The teas I have been loving recently are two holiday teas. They are absolutely delicious. You can make these hot or iced, though I have only drank them as hot teas. The cranberry vanilla wonderland, is a nice balance between the two flavors, and it is a decaffeinated herbal tea. The candy cane lane is also a decaffeinated tea, but is a green tea. I love to enjoy both of these in the evening before I am going to go to bed. I also love the candy cane lane when I have a bad head ache, the peppermint in this tea soothes my head, and works wonders on me. Both teas have a good bit of a sweet taste, but these do not contain any sugar. I usually have to have everything really sweet. Y'all know this, we've met, but these teas are absolute perfection on their own.
In the mornings however, we have been doing coffee. Now, I usually am not a fan of lattes at dunkin donuts. Let me explain why. Every time I go there, it is always inconsistent. The lattes are either too sweet or not sweet info. It isn't like I am saying I want "so and so many pumps" of this or that. I just order a regular vanilla latte, and I swear it comes out different every time! I tend to stay away from dunkin donuts for that reason. We purchased some ground beans, and that is a different story! The old fashioned donut flavor is really delicious. It says a good sweetness to it, but not an over baring amount, a great balance. I still have to add a bit of milk to mine, I cannot drink black coffee. I don't have to add any sugar to it though, which is a plus.
